Sommer Gunia, DO
Board President
Dr. Gunia is one of the few sub-specialty Fellowship Trained Breast Surgical Oncologists in Scottsdale and is committed to the evaluation and treatment of breast disease. She is dedicated to bringing the highest level of breast care to the valley by incorporating her expertise in the newest technologies and advancements available for both the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Her training included oncoplastic surgical technique, which combines the principles of cancer removal with optimal cosmetic results.
After earning an undergraduate degree at Arizona State University, she obtained her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Gunia completed general surgery training through Ohio University and further specialized in Breast Surgical Oncology at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio.
Dr. Gunia enjoys playing cards, country line dancing, relaxing by the pool with a good book, traveling, attending concerts and spending time with her husband, Steve, and their two tabby cats.

Tonsa Price-Edwards
Vice President
Tonsa Price-Edwards is a breast cancer survivor. Originally diagnosed in 2007, since a second diagnosis in 2020 she has been thriving with Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Tonsa comes to the Board with several years of strong volunteer experience and is passionate and committed to helping the organization grow its advocacy and support for MBC patients. Part of her personal mission is to ensure that we “Don’t Ignore Stage IV”. She holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati,
Tonsa is now retired after an extensive executive career for several public and private organizations that spanned both Human Resources and Operations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Del, traveling, art, music, photography, and racing and riding her bike.

Jen Umscheid
Secretary
Jen has been a part of the clinical laboratory community for 20 years and began her career in the United State Air Force as a Medical Laboratory Scientist; an opportunity that has allowed her to travel and gain a diversified experience in the world of healthcare. She currently serves as the System Quality Director for Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona based in Phoenix, Arizona and is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring organizational quality management strategies for 65 licensed laboratories spanning 6 states.
She is passionate in her commitment to improving outcomes for the healthcare community she serves as well as supporting her amazing team! Jen also enjoys spending time with her talented husband Scott, an Executive Chef, and their rambunctious dog, Buster. Jen is grateful for the opportunity to serve and support the Check for a Lump mission because of family members personally affected.

Linda Greer, MD

Dr. Greer is a dedicated breast imager with specialty training in diagnostic radiology. She earned her medical degree from University of Texas-Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, and completed a residency program in Diagnostic Radiology also at University of Texas-Medical Branch.
Dr. Greer has extensive experience and has been a dedicated breast imager for 25 years. She has authored multiple research publications and has presented her work at many prestigious national and international conferences, including presenting a significant amount of research on Tomosynthesis (3D mammography). She is a member of several professional societies and is also board certified.
Dr. Greer is committed to the advancement of early detection of disease and to providing patient-centered care to all of her patients at Arizona Diagnostic Radiology, helping them make the most informed decisions about their healthcare.

Kasia Trebska, MD FACS
Member
Dr. Trebska joined Check for a Lump in January 2026.
Originally from Poland, she spent nearly two decades on the East Coast, where she completed medical school, surgical training, and participated in research at the National Cancer Institute. She relocated to Arizona in 2021 and currently practices as a surgical oncologist at Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers.
Dr. Trebska’s clinical interests include both benign and malignant breast conditions, as well as the screening and management of patients at high risk for breast cancer. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, with a strong emphasis on achieving excellent oncologic and cosmetic outcomes.
Having benefited from acts of kindness at many points in her life, and through her daily work with breast cancer patients, Dr. Trebska is deeply committed to giving back to the community. She is passionate about promoting breast cancer awareness and supporting patients throughout their journey.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her twin boys, traveling, and exploring new cultures and cuisines. She aspires to visit all seven continents and every national park in the United States

Jill Coxen, LPC

Jill has joined the Board of Directors for Check for a Lump as a stage 4 breast cancer thriver, diagnosed in 2019. She brings more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field, as a trained mental health provider, with specialized expertise in counseling individuals coping with medical trauma and oncology-related challenges. She also has a long history of volunteer work, reflecting her deep commitment to serving others. Passionate about expanding resources and support for those living with stage 4 breast cancer, Jill continues to advocate for greater awareness and access to care. Her biggest motivators are her two children, who inspire her to live with purpose and resilience every day.

Marion Rhoades
Member
Marion Rhoades is a business owner and community leader dedicated to the principle that “to whom much is given, much is expected.” Her professional career began at the forefront of the Silicon Valley technology sector, where she notably collaborated with the Cambridge Adaptive team on the pioneering voice synthesis system utilized by Stephen Hawking.
Today, Marion translates that same professional rigor into the media sector, providing specialized photographic services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofits. A seasoned executive volunteer, she has served as President of The Junior League of Phoenix, Tempe Preparatory Academy Foundation, & National Charity League.
Currently a board member for Check For A Lump, Marion’s leadership history includes service with the Junior League of Phoenix Foundation, Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West, Florence Crittenton, Experience Matters, Positive Impact and the East Valley Women’s League. Whether advocating for foster youth through Kids In Transition or providing essential resources via Homebound Women, Marion’s career is defined by her ability to bridge executive strategy with a deep-seated commitment to service.
