Volunteers are the heart and soul of Check for a Lump. As the Executive Director and a breast cancer survivor myself, I know firsthand the impact our organization's work can have on individuals facing this difficult journey. My experience as a volunteer ignited my passion for being part of the team at Check for a Lump, and I'm grateful to be surrounded by such a dedicated and compassionate community of volunteers.
My journey with Check for a Lump began when I received a free wig from the organization during my own battle with breast cancer. That act of kindness meant so much to me, and it inspired me to volunteer with them. Little did I know, it would eventually lead me to my current role as Executive Director.
Today, I have the honor of working alongside countless volunteers who share my passion for helping others. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing unique perspectives and experiences to the table. Whether it's Girl Scouts, National Charity League (NCL), corporate groups, quilting clubs, bunko groups, schools, or individuals who simply want to make a difference, we are so grateful for their support.
Our volunteers play a critical role in making our programs successful. From crafting nontoxic products for our Super Survivor Kits and delivering them to those in need, to stuffing swag bags for events, to lending a hand with administrative tasks in the office, every effort is deeply appreciated. These volunteers help us maintain our high-quality programs and services, allowing us to continue our mission of supporting breast cancer patients and survivors.

You truly are the driving force behind Check for a Lump's success, and I am so proud to work alongside you.
